Jonathan Naick is in his first year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for Whittier College after he served as a graduate assistant at the University of Virginia from 2007-2008.

Naick is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he earned a Bachelor's in Athletic Training and Kinesiology in 2007. Upon graduation he traveled to Charlottesville, Va., where he received his Master's in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine in 2008.

A native of Lakewood, Calif., Naick was a student athletic trainer for softball and basketball at Cypress College and also worked as part of the medical staff in Clark County, Nev., a Rehabilitation Therapist at the Village Healthcare Center in Tustin, Calif., and a student athletic trainer/medical staff member for United Spirit Association in Anaheim, Calif.

Naick was awarded a certificate for Outstanding Academic Achievement from the Alliance of Professionals of African Heritage from UNLV from 2003-2006 and he is also part of the National Athletic Trainer's Association, Far West Athletic Trainer's Association and National Strength and Conditioning Association to name a few.

He is a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer and part of the Frank C. McCue III Sports Medicine Society.
