Mike Senyo enters his third season at Whittier College as Director of Strength and Conditioning. Senyo oversees all 22 programs for the athletic department as well as manages the staff and upkeep of the George Allen Fitness Center and cardio room.
Senyo began his coaching career in 2011 at his high school alma mater, John Marshall, where he worked with the school’s football program as its linebackers coach and co-defensive coordinator. He then joined the University of La Verne as its assistant strength coach under Matt Durant, and after a year and a half there, moved over to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. During his two seasons at CMS, Senyo trained the NCAA Divison III West Region champion women's volleyball team and won a D-III national championship with the men's tennis program.
Senyo was a four-year member of the football team at the University of La Verne, playing linebacker and defensive line. He received his Bachelors degree in Journalism (2007) and Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership and Design (2014) from the University of La Verne.
