39th Annual Sports Camp/All Day Camp |
The Whittier College Athletic Department will offer three, two week, morning sessions of sports activity instruction. The recreational activities rotate among basketball, kickball, track, soccer, softball and wiffleball among others. Additionally, other activites include group games and arts and crafts.
Each two week session will culminate with a Pentathlon where ribbons and certificates will be awarded.
Daily Sports Camp sessions (Monday-Friday) will run from 8:45 am to 12:00 pm for boys and girls 6-12 years of age. Youngsters will be grouped according to age and ability level.
The popular All Day Camp has become one of our most popular camps for kids and parents alike. Activities include: Group Games, Arts, Crafts, and Swimming. SPACE IS LIMITED, SO SIGN UP EARLY!!!!!!

Sports Specialty Camps |
The Whittier College Athleic Department will offer five weeks of specialty camps this summer, each directed and staffed by Whittier head coaches. The day camp format (9:00 am to 3:00 pm) allows us to provide a low cost, high quality, alternative to expensive overnight camps at a third of the cost. Campers are allowed to swim from 3:00pm-4:00pm following camp.
All you can eat daily lunch is included!
This experienced staff of outstanding coaches and their assistants will present a daily developmental program with an emphasis on teaching of sports fundamentals as they pertain to basketball, baseball, soccer and volleyball.

Basketball - TWO SESSIONS OFFERED!
The 29th Annual Basketball Camp will run from June 25 to June 29 and July 9 to July 13. The Whittier College basketball staff along with a comprised staff of college coaches and players will provide excellent instruction to prepare you for your upcoming season. Each basketball player will receive a t-shirt and a regulation camp basketball at the end of the week.

Ages: 7-16 (co-ed)
Program: Skill development - shooting, ball handling, rebounding and passing; team games and contests
Daily: Two division competitive experiences against players of equal skill
Goal: To provide in-depth basketball experience with emphasis on fundamental approach for success

Baseball
The 21st Annual Baseball Camp will run from July 30 to Aug. 3. Campers are divided into groups by age and skill level. the emphasis will be placed on developing the fundamental skills of baseball.
Ages: 7-12 (co-ed)
Program: Skill instruction - the emphasis placed on the individual
Fundamentals: Hitting, bunting, throwing, fielding, base running and pitching
Ball games: Afternoon league based on age level

Volleyball
The 21st Annual Volleyball Camp will run from July 16 to July 20. In addition to individual skill development and analysis, emphasis will include individual pride in performance mental training.
Ages: 9-14 (co-ed)
Program: Skill instruction - underhand passing, setting, spike approach, hitting, serving and jump training
Teaching: Offensive and defensive team systems
Conditioning: In-season and out-of-season conditioning concepts

Soccer
The 21st Annual Soccer Camp will run from July 23 to July 27. Staff will emphasize fundamental skills, technique and tactical methods to become an excellent soccer player.
Program: Methods focus on creativity, team play and rhythm
Goal: To provide a training experience that encourages campers to love the game and teh basic skills to advance their level of play
