Rain washes out season opener for Poets

ORANGE, Calif. - The 2010 season opener for the Whittier College baseball team has been postponed due to inclement weather. Game 1 of the three-game series between Whittier and Chapman will be played at 7 pm on Saturday evening.

The originally scheduled Saturday double-header at WC's Memorial Field will now be played on Super Bowl Sunday. The first game is slated for an 11 am start.
