The Whittier College baseball team was awarded the Team Academic Excellence Award from the American Baseball Coaches Association for the second straight year. The Poets were one of over 200 college and high school teams to earn the distinction.
Juniors Matthew Macey (Oceanside, Calif.) and Andrew Lamar (Alta Loma, Calif.) were both recognized this week on an All-SCIAC team announced by the conference office and voted on by the nine SCIAC head coaches.

The Whittier College Baseball team dropped their three game series with Occidental over the weekend. After a tough loss in game one where they blew a 6-0 lead, the Purple & Gold came out and fell 6-4 and 7-1 in a doubleheader moving their record to 2-5.
