Nine Football Players Honored by SCIAC, Eddow '08 Named to 1st Team Defense

Whittier College had nine football players earn All-Conference
Awards from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference this week. Chasen Eddow '08 was
named to the defensive first team. Eddow had 53 tackles this
season and led the Poets with three interceptions.
Reuben Chavez '07 and Dustin Jones '07
were named to the defensive second team. Chavez had 32
tackles and led the team with 7.5 tackles for a loss and 4.5
sacks. Jones finished the year with 23 tackles and two
interceptions.
Josh Scurlock '08 and Quinn Keefer '07
earned offensive second team honors. Scurlock completed 52%
of his passes and threw for 1591 yards and 11 touchdowns. He
also rushed for 207 yards and three touchdowns. Keefer was
the anchor of the Poets offensive line all season.
Tommy Terhune '07 and Arlo Castelo
'09 were defensive honorable mention honorees and wide
receivers Albert Williams '08 and Shawn
Briggs '08 were offensive honorable mention team members.
