Diante Jackson takes part in NFL Combine

WHITTIER, Calif. – Former Poet wide out Diante Jackson (Oakland, Calif.) took part in his own NFL Combine on the campus of Whittier College with 12 of the 32 NFL Teams in attendance.
At the combine, Jackson was weighed in and measured before he took part in a variety of speed and agility drills. Some of the drills included the 40-Yard Dash, broad jump, 20-yard shuttle, t-drill, and route running before moving down to the WC weight room where he finished up with his vertical leap and bench press.
In just one year with the Purple & Gold Jackson was named 1st Team All-SCIAC, and was a BSN All-American. He played in all nine games hauling in 58 receptions for 1,114 yards averaging 123.8 yards per game. He also had a team high 10 touchdowns with a long being of 80 yards. At the conclusion of the season he was Ranked No. 1 in the SCIAC in yards per game and touchdowns.
"We are very happy for Diante that he had this opportunity", explained Head Coach Todd Stratton. "We appreciate the NFL scouts making time to come visit the college and evaluate Diante". "This is the third year in a row that players from Whittier College have had exposure to the NFL scouts".
