Chasen Eddow completed his first official season as an assistant coach with the Whittier College football program in 2008 and will return to the Poets in 2009 to coach the defensive backs.

Prior to the '08 season Eddow worked as an assistant defensive backs coach as he worked primarily with safeties.

The San Diego, Calif., native graduate from Whittier in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and while at WC he was a three-year member of the football team. Eddow earned first-team All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors in '06 as well as being recognized as the WC Defensive Player of the Year and team Most Valuable Player.

In his first season with the Poets he was named the SCIAC Rookie of the Year in 2003 and was a two-time team captain (2005 and 2006).

Eddow currently resides in La Verne.
