Chris Anderson joined the Whittier College football staff in 2008 as a graduate assistant and the 2009 year will mark his second year with the Poets and first as the coach of the offensive line/tight ends.

Anderson was a two-year starter for the Poets as a tight end but moved to the offensive line in 2007 where he started at center his junior and senior campaigns. He was named team captain his senior year and earned the Richard Nixon Award in 2006 as well as being recognized by the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as a 2007 second-team all-conference selection.

In addition to the conference honors he was garnered the '07 Evan McKinney Award as the top offensive/defensive lineman for Whittier.

Anderson graduated from Whittier in 2008 with a Degree in Kinesiology and is working towards his Master's in Education.

He currently resides in Whittier.
