Poets shoot season-low 308 at Empire Lakes

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. - The Whittier College golf team shot a season-low 308 on Monday afternoon as it finished in seventh place at the third SCIAC match of the year at Empire Lakes Golf Club.

The Poets were led by Nikhil Bhardwaj who shot a three-over 75. Andrew Moreno-Hunt and Ryan Kitabayshi both shot a five-over 77.

Donny Garrison was the fourth Poet to record his score as he shot a seven-over 79.

Only one team finished the match under-par at the was No. 9 La Verne who shot a 280. The Leopards were followed by No. 17 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (290), No. 10 Redlands (290), Occidental (302), No. 32 California Lutheran (303) and No. 48 Pomona-Pitzer (304).
