Men's Basketball Opens Season With a Win, Beaver/Poet Classic Nov. 25-26

scored 15 points to lead Whittier College to a 60-57 victory in their season opener against Chapman University on November 17.

Raphael Farlough '08 scored 13 points and pulled down six rebounds for the Poets.  Brian Cymbolin '08 finished with a team-high seven boards to go with six points.  The Poets shot 44 percent from the field and held the Panthers to just 38% shooting.  Whittier held a 31-22 lead at halftime.

Chapman's Josh Flynn-Brown led all scorers with 22 points, including five three-pointers.  He was the only Panther to score in double figures.
