Men's Basketball Picks Up Another Win, Cymbolin '08 Records First Double-Double This Year


Brian Cymbolin '08 came off the bench to score eleven points and pull down eleven rebounds to lead Whittier College to an 83-75 victory over La Sierra University at Graham Athletics Center on December 16.

Cymbolin also had a team-high three steals.  Marcus Gibson '09 finished with a game-high 23 points.  Jonathan Saucedo '10 and Vernon Covington '08 each finished with 10 points.  Covington also grabbed eight rebounds, while Saucedo finished with seven.

After a sloppy first half, the Poets held a 38-35 lead at halftime despite shooting just 33 percent from the field.  The Poets ended up shooting just 39 percent from the field in the game.
