Men's Basketball Falls to Anderson University, Poets Shoot Just 27% in Second Half


Raphael Farlough '08 recorded his first double-double this season, but Whittier College lost 75-61 to Anderson University at Graham Athletics Center on December 30.  It is the second straight loss for the Poets who are now 6-4.

Farlough scored 12 points and pulled down a team-high ten rebounds.  Marcus Gibson '09 scored a team-high 13 points.  Anthony Taylor '07 and Jeff McLean '09 each finished with seven points and seven rebounds.  The Poets shot just 3-of-17 from behind the three-point line and 34 percent from the field in the game.

Anderson's Tyler Stotler scored a game-high 30 points including eight three-pointers.  The Ravens made ten three's total and held a 35-33 lead at the half.
