2007-08 Men's Basketball All-SCIAC Teams Announced

Two Poets were honored as the 2007-08 men's basketball All-SCIAC
teams were announced last weekend. Mike Archuletta '09 was
named to the first team and Jeff McLean '09 earned second team
honors.
Archuletta led the Poets in scoring this season with 11.8 points
per game. He was in the conference's top fifteen in four
categories: field goal percentage (1st), scoring
(9th), blocks (13th) and free throw
percentage (14th). He scored a season-high 23
points against California Lutheran University on February 6, and
scored in double figures in seven of the Poets' last eight
games.
McLean finds himself on the All-SCIAC second team for the second
straight season. He was second on the team in scoring (10.8
ppg) and rebounding (4.8 rpg) this season. He led the
conference in steals per game (1.8) and was in the top fifteen in
five other categories: blocks (6th), field goal
percentage (7th), offensive rebounds (7th),
free throw percentage (13th) and scoring
(15th). He scored in double figures in fifteen
games this season, and in each of the team's last eleven games.
The Poets finished 14-11 overall this season and were fifth in the
conference at 7-7.
