WHITTIER, Calif. – The Whittier College Men's Basketball team looks to end their four-game losing skid this Saturday, December 8 as they enter back into non-conference action with a match-up against the Wildcats of Johnson & Wales.

Whittier and Johnson & Wales matched up once already this season.  In that game the Wildcats pulled off the 99-87 victory in Colorado.

WC Coming into the Game

Whittier is currently 1-6, 0-1 SCIAC and have lost four in a row, including a tight 69-64 loss to the University of Redlands Wednesday night.    

JWU Coming into the Game

Johnson & Wales has been red hot this year sitting with a 6-1, 1-0 SCAC record.  They are coming off an 84-60 victory over Colorado College and have their lone loss on the season coming against UC Santa Cruz (73-69). 

By the Numbers

Whittier – Despite a 1-6 record, Whittier is still putting up points averaging 83.7 PPG, shooting 45% from the field, 35% from three-point territory and 64% from the free throw line.  They haul in 40 rebounds per game and collect 14.3 assists.  They are currently holding a rebounding margin of -0.9 and giving up 87.4 points per game and allowing opponents to shoot 45% from the field and 38% from deep.

Johnson & Wales – The Wildcats are a potent offense with an 88.3 PPG average, while shooting 47% from the field, 34% from the three-point line and 71% from the charity stripe.  They have the bigs inside bringing down 36.4 rebounds per game and the guard play are putting out 15.7 assists.  Right now they have a -4.6 rebounding margin and allowing 77.6 points per game and opponents to shoot 48% from the field and 28% from behind the arc.
