Men’s Golf drops dual match with Chapman 287-298

TUSTIN, Calif. – The Whittier College Men's Golf team dropped a dual match this week as they fell 287-298 to Chapman University.

The single round took place at Tustin Ranch Golf Club.  Chapman shot -1 as a team, while Whittier finished +10.

Tyler Hoefferle (San Dimas, Calif.) again led the Purple & Gold putting up a 73 and was joined by Nicholas Medeiros (Riverside, Calif.) and Alex Valadez (Anaheim, Calif.) who also added 73's all finishing in a tie for 3rd.

Tyler Bliss (Glendora, Calif.) rounded out the senior grouping with a 79 to finish in 9th and Tiger Fawaz (San Bernardino, Calif.) and Martin Bedino (Nequen, Neuquen, Argentina ) rounded out the scorers with an 83, 85, each respectively.

Chapman's Griffin Tso and Brent Bjorndal tied for 1st both recording 69's.          

Whittier wraps up their Fall season October 9-10 as they take part in the Interwest Wildcat in Chico, Calif.  The two day event will take place at the Links at Rolling Hills.
