Anthony Lackey is in his third season with the Poets lacrosse team.  Lackey was born and raised in Orangeville, Ontario.  Anthony was only four years old when he was first introduced to the game of lacrosse; his father John signed him up for hockey and lacrosse, and Anothey "just played" and from here his passion for lacrosse began to develop.  He went on to play for Suffield Academy, where he graduated from in 2003.  During his high school career Anthony competed with his team to earn the New England Class "B" Championship; and achieve All-League his senior year.  He tallied 75 goals and 60 ground balls in his high school career.  At Whittier he is a Kinesiology and Leisure Studies major.  Anthony has a goal to become the "Next American Idol."  When he is not practicing for American Idol, or playing lacrosse he enjoys hockey, golf, and snowboarding.  Matt has an older sister, Melissa.  He thanks his parents John and Luci, his coach Lindsay Sanderson, and his friends for helping him reach this point in his lacrosse career and life.
