Poets drop second straight game, fall to Skidmore 10-7
SAN DIEGO - The Whittier College men's lacrosse team dropped its second-consecutive game this past weekend to Skidmore, 10-7, at Cathedral High School. WC allowed five third-quarter goals in the loss.
The Poets (3-4) trailed 3-2 after one quarter but scored the equalizer in the second quarter to go into halftime tied at three.
Skidmore outscored the purple and gold 5-1 in the third quarter and added a pair of goals in the fourth quarter en route to the win.
Christian Wright had a team-high four points (1g, 3a) in the win. Michael Neumayr, Matt Mulry and Colt Adams all had two goals.
Ben Brown made 16 saves in the loss.
