Dave Gerbarg is in his first year as a graduate assistant for the Whittier College men's lacrosse program.  He was a four-year letter winner for the Poets and graduated in 2007 with his Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology.

Gerbarg came to Whittier from Scottsdale, Ariz., where he led Saguaro High School to a State Championship in 2003.  He was named the Arizona Offensive Most Valuable Player that same year.  While at Whittier, he was a four-year starter and two-time captain.  He led the Poets in points and goals in 2005 and 2006 and was the team leader in assists in 2005, 2006 and 2007.  In 2006, he was tenth in Division III with 3.18 goals per game and twelfth with 4.45 points per game.  During his senior campaign, Gerbarg was sixth in the nation with 2.3 assists per game and ninth with 4.7 points per game.  He was drafted by the Arizona Sting of the National Lacrosse League in October 2007.

Gerbarg coached the Under-19 Arizona Team in the Vail Lacrosse Shootout from 2005-2007.  In 2006 and 2007, he was the team's head coach and led them to a second place finish in 2007.  He presently is the head coach of the XL High School Starz.
