Whittier Coaching Accomplishments
2012-2013- helped the men’s team place 6th at SCIAC Championships with swimmers in 14 of the 20 championship heats. Eight Whittier College Records were broken at the SCIAC Championships. Sophomore Filip Dajkovich placed 4th in the 50 Freestyle and later swam an exhibition heat to set the record at 20.66, which was a National “B” cut time. Sophomore Kurt Holzmuller continued his success from last year and broke 4 College records. He placed 6th in the 500 Freestyle with a 4:40.06, 6th in the 400 IM with a 4:14.65, earned at spot on the podium placing 3rd in the 1650 Freestyle swimming a 16:19.99 and also breaking the 1000 record at 9:58.93. Senior Cameron Rehm placed 6th in the 200 Backstroke setting the new Whittier College record at 1:57.94. The Men broke two long-standing relay records in the 400 Freestyle relay and the 800 Freestyle relay. Swimming the 400 was Filip Dajkovich, Cameron Rehm, Jasen Missailidis and Kurt Holzmuller with a 3:11.80. Swimming the 800 was Jasen Missailidis, Kevin Marquez, Cameron Rehm and Kurt Holzmuller with a 7:05.10.
2011-2012- helped the team to 0.500 during the season. Men’s swimming placing 5th after SCIAC Championships .Out of the 38 events swam at the SCIAC Championships Whittier had swimmers in the championship heat of 26 events. Freshman Kurt Holzmuller was top 8 in the 500 freestyle and broke the Whittier College record in the 1650 Freestyle with a 16:43.29. Sophomore Ryne Spejcher set a record in the 400 IM with a 4:16.65 putting him in the top 8 at SCIAC Championships. Filip Dajkovich, Chet Schuster, Alex Peterson and Christopher Evans broke the 200 Freestyle relay record with a time of 1:26.97. Senior diver Tyler Aisner broke a 1-Meter record set in 1983 by George Wilson with a score of 505.75 this score earning him the SCIAC Championship. He also placed 2nd in the 3-meter.
Coaching Accomplishments
2009-2011-Taught private and groups swim practice in Calgary, Canada at the Talisman Sports Centre from learn to swim to club national qualifiers
2008-2009-Taught privates swim lessons to all ages levels and experience levels; from learn to swim up to college prospect athletes
2004-2008- Helped run, organize and coach the Loyola Marymount swimmer Swim program
1997-2003- Helped run, organize and coach the Catholic Youth League Swim program
Swimming Accomplishments
2003-Placed in the top 16 for both the 50 Free Style and 100 Backstroke at the Florida High School Championship meet; also helped his team qualify for the 200 medley and the 200 Freestyle relay.
2002-Placed in the top 16 for both the 50 Freestyle with a 22.41 and 100 Freestyle with a 48.94 at the Florida High School Championship meet; also helped his team qualify in the 200 medley swimming breaststroke with a split of 29.35 and 200 Freestyle relay leading off.
2001- Placed in the top 8 for the 100 Freestyle with a 48.76 and top 16 in the 100 Backstroke with a 55.10 at the Florida High School Championship Meet; also helping his team qualify for the 200 Medley relay and 400 Freestyle relay. The 100 Backstroke time broke a 25 year old record for Bishop Moore High School swimming.
2000- Qualified for Florida High School Championship meet as a freshman
1999-Helped set a new record for the year at National Age group Long Course Championships in the 400 Freestyle relay for 15 &16 year olds with a time of 3:52.29
Other Accomplishments
Played Division I Water Polo for Loyola Marymount University- Winning 3 out of 4 Conference Championships
Played for the Canadian National Water Polo Team for two seasons
Is the assistant to the Men’s and Women’s Water Polo Teams at Whittier College
