Men's Tennis Defeats Colorado College, Have Won Three of Last Four

Ryan Johnson was one of four Poets to win in singles play.
Men's tennis scored an emphatic 7-2 victory over the visiting
Colorado College Tigers on March 13. Whittier has won three
of their last four, improving to 4-6 on the season.
The Poets came out of the gates fast winning all three of their
doubles matches to take an early three to love lead in the
match-up.
"It was great to see that we applied all of the hard work we put in
this week with our doubles, not just the wins but the tactics we
employed," said Coach Bojalad.
The Poets carried over their strong doubles play on the singles
court, getting wins at number three, four, five and six.
Justin DeLong ‘10 won at number three singles to improve to
5-5 on the season. Lance Franey ‘09 has won three
matches in a row, winning at number four today 6-1, 6-3.
Denis Minaev ‘11 won his sixth straight with a routine 6-2,
6-2 performance at #5. Ryan Johnson ‘11 put in an
equally dominant performance at number six singles winning 6-2,
6-0.
