Poets rebound with 9-0 win over Pacific (Ore.)

WHITTIER, Calif. - The Whittier College men's tennis team rebounded from loss to No. 6 Amherst last Friday afternoon with a resounding 9-0 win over Pacific (Ore.) University on Monday afternoon at the Richard Ettinger Tennis Courts.
The Poets (8-3) didn't lose a set all match as they rolled to the clean sweep.
Frank Sun moved from No. 6 singles to No. 5 singles but the results were no different as he remained undefeated on the year with a 6-0, 6-0 win.
In all the Poets won three of the 12 sets 6-0. Justin DeLong provided the other 6-0 set in his 6-0, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles.
Sean Robertson won at No. 1 singles 6-3, 6-3 and he and DeLong rolled at No. 1 doubles, 8-2.
"They [Pacific] remind me of us in many ways," said head coach David Bojalad. "They are young, hungry and very much on the rise. We are very happy with this result."
The Poets return to action on Thursday, March 26, as they host Puget Sound at 3 p.m.
