Water Polo Loses Battle With Sixth-Ranked Team, Claremont Convergence Next Weekend

Jake Zerbe '07 scored two goals, but Whittier College lost its non-conference match-up with nationally ranked #6 Loyola-Marymount University 11-5 on September 29.  The Poets now have a 3-9 record as they prepare for the Claremont Convergence Tournament on October 6 and 7. 

Chris Villanueva '09, Cody Pletcher '07 and Matt Brammer '09 tallied one goal apiece.  The Poets were out shot in the contest 28-18.  John Jacobson '08 made 11 saves in goal.
