Water Polo Loses in SCIAC Opener, Three Poets Score Two Goals in Loss

Whittier College lost to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges 11-8 for
the first time in three games between the two this season, when
they met to open the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference schedule on October 14. The Poets are now 5-14
overall and 0-1 in SCIAC play.
Jake Zerbe '07 filled the stat sheet for the Poets, scoring two goals and assisting on two others, as well as drawing four penalties and blocking two shots. Also scoring a pair of goals and adding one assist each was Chris Villanueva '09 and Dante Morley-Montes '10.
