Nine Poets named ACWPC All-Academic

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) released the 2017 Men's Water Polo All-Academic awards Tuesday and nine Poets were honored for their academic performances.

Among the three levels of academic achievement, more than 500 men were selected to this year's elite list. 65 SCIAC student-athletes were recognized across all three areas with 18 receiving "Outstanding" recognition by the ACWPC, meaning those who achieved a GPA between 3.71-4.00. Honored with "Superior" recognition were 26 student-athletes that achieved between a 3.41-3.70 GPA. The 21 SCIAC performers who achieved a GPA between 3.20-3.40 were recognized in the "Excellent" category.

Five SCIAC teams were also recognized for All-Academic Achievement of having a 3.0 or higher.  These teams included Caltech (3.51), Chapman (3.29), Pomona-Pitzer (3.11), Cal Lutheran (3.10), and Claremont-M-S (3.08).
