Coaching Accomplishments
2009
The Poets finished the season 20-14 which includes a 16-3
mark against Division III opponents. It was only the third time in
program's history, and first time since 2004, that Whittier reached
the 20-win plateau.
Whittier ended the year as the No. 1 ranked team in Division III and took home fourth place honors at the Western Water Polo Association Championships held at Chapman University. The tournament was highlighted by a 10-9 win over second seeded Air Force in the opening round.
Pudwill had four players named ACWPC All-Americans, four named All-SCIAC and two named All-WWPA. First-team All-American goalie Casey Regehr led the country, all divisions, in total saves.
2008
Pudwill led the Poets to a first round upset of SCIAC
rival Occidental in the conference tournament.
Whittier had two ACWPC All-Americans, two All-SCIAC selections, one All-WWPA honoree and one student-athlete named to the All-WWPA Freshman Team in 2008.
Other College Coaching Accomplishments
2004-06
Pudwill began his college coaching career as an assistant
coach at Occidental in 2004. In two seasons with the Tigers, he
helped Occidental reach some of its highest rankings in the
Division III polls and saw the '06 women's team reach No. 2 in the
polls.

Head boys water polo coach at Fountain Valley High School
in Fountain Valley, Calif.
2001-03
Selected as head coach at the National Zone Championships
for Zone 4 in Texas.
2001
Co-founded the Dirty Bay Water Polo Club, the first
year-round age group water polo program in Texas. In two years the
club grew from a roster of 20 to 100.
2000
Assistant coach for the boys and girls water polo and
swimming teams at Ross S. Sterling High School in Baytown,
Texas.
