USTFCCCA Announces Cross Country Pre-Season Rankings; Poets come in at No. 8

USTFCCCA Preseason Rankings

NEW ORLEANS – The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced this morning their cross country western region preseason rankings for men and women and Whittier College came in at No. 8 in both polls to start off the 2012-13 year.

Both squads for the Purple & Gold are ranked No. 8 out of 21 teams in the west region. 

The men’s squad achieves a top-10 regional ranking for the first time since 2001 and the women look to rebuild after losing six of their top eight runners from a nationally ranked, 3rd ranked regionally, 2011 squad.
