Swimming Competes at Bulldog Pentathlon

Members of the Men's and Women's Swimming teams competed in the Bulldog Pentathlon hosted by the University of Redlands on November 11. 

In the pentathlon, each swimmer records times in the 100-yard butterfly,  backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle and individual medley events.  Swimmers' cumulative times are then ranked.

Sam Benedum '08 finished with the best time of any Poet male with a cumulative time of 4:55.02 (59.75 fly, 1:01.96 back, 1:04.31 breast, 50.76 free, 58.24 IM).  Catherine Gouge '08 was tops for the women, finishing with a cumulative time of 5:41.51 seconds (1:07.61, 1:10.17, 1:16.66, 59.14, 1:07.93).
