Gangloff Earns Academic All-American Honors
Whittier College Track & Field stand out, Shuree Gangloff
'09 has been honored as a United States Track & Field and Cross
Country Coaches Association Academic All-American for her
performance on the field and in the classroom during the 2007-08
academic year. Gangloff was the lone Whittier College
representative at the NCAA Championships last Spring.
Gangloff won a SCIAC Championship in the discus and finished fourth
in both the hammer and the shot put last season. At the NCAA
Championships, she finished 17th in the nation in the discus with a
throw of 135' 11" while battling back problems.
Gangloff was a member of the 2007-08 President's Club at Whittier
College as a student-athlete with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. She
was the only SCIAC Track & Field athlete to earn Academic
