Women's Basketball Goes 1-1 at Menlo Classic, Poets Face La Sierra Dec. 1

Whittier College lost 70-36 to host Menlo College in game one, but bounced back to defeat California State University-Maritime 64-52 the next day of the Menlo College Thanksgiving Classic in Atherton, Calif. on November 35-36.

Against Menlo, Christa Rainville '08 led all Poet scorers with eleven points.  Michelle Mascoto '07 had team-highs in rebounds (7), assists (2) and steals (4).  Megan Wingo '07 scored six points and pulled down five rebounds.

In the win over Cal St.-Maritime, Wingo led all scorers with 18 points.  She recorded her first double-double of the season with 10 rebounds.  Dana Allen '07 added 13 points and six rebounds and Michelle Araw '07 chipped in ten points.  Mascoto had a game-high eight assists.
