Zilbert Named SCIAC Athlete of the Week

Kourtney Zilbert '11 has been named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for her performances in two games last week.

Zilbert has posted a double-double in each of the last three games, including two SCIAC contests, leading the Poets to their best conference start since the 2000-01 season.  In the Poets' conference opener, a 59-40 win over Caltech, she scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.  She was also credited with three assists.  In the 62-54 win over Cal Lutheran, she finished with a team-high 17 points and pulled down 12 boards, nine on the offensive end.  She also led the defense with five steals.  She is averaging close to a double-double on the season (11.8 ppg, 9.3 rpg) and leads the Poets with 30 steals.
