SCIAC Announces Women's Basketball Post Season Awards

Kourtney Zilbert '11 and Rosario Rios-Aguilar '10 were named to
All-Conference teams when the SCIAC announced its post-season
awards on March 4. Zilbert earned a spot on the All-SCIAC
first team while Rios-Aguilar was honored with a second team
nod.
Zilbert averaged nearly a double-double with 11.9 points and 9.0
rebounds per game. She had seven double-doubles on the
year. She finished in the conference's top fifteen in
offensive rebounds (1st), total rebounds
(2nd), steals (2nd), field goal percentage
(6th), scoring (8th) and assists
(15th).
Rios-Aguilar also averaged close to a double-double this
season. She led the Poets with 12.6 points per game and was
second on the team with 8.5 rebounds per game. She recorded
five double-doubles, including a 25-point, 16-rebound performance
in a Poet victory over Cal Lutheran on January 12. She
finished among the top fifteen in the conference in rebounding
(3rd), scoring (7th), minutes played
(9th), field goal percentage (10th), assists
(12th) and steals (12th).
The Poets had an overall record of 12-13 and finished fifth in the
conference with a 7-7 record.
