Zilbert named third-team West Region by D3hoops


WHITTIER, Calif. - The postseason awards continued on Tuesday afternoon for Kourtney Zilbert as the sophomore forward earned a spot on the D3hoops.com All-West Region third-team as announced by the website.

Zilbert was one of three Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference players recognized by the website.

Occidental forward Brianne Brown was named to the second team while Redlands freshman Courtney Carroll became the second-straight SCIAC athlete to earn West Region Rookie of the Year honors.

Zilbert garnered the West Region Rookie of the Year award last season.

The Burbank, Calif., native was named to her second consecutive all-conference first-team earlier this season. She led the Poets with a 14.0 points per game average.
