Christine Alcala

Christine Alcala is in her second season with the Whittier College women's basketball program after she coached at Schurr High School for six years. While at Schurr she helped guide the team to playoffs in four of the six years she was on the staff.

A 2004 graduate of Whittier College, Alcala earned her Master's of Education from Whittier in 2008. She has used her degrees over the past five years as a full-time teacher at Schurr and she was recently inducted to the Cambridge Organization for the Nation's top Executives, Professionals and Entrepeneurs of 2008-09.

She also coached track and field at Schurr High School in Montebello, Calif, and directed local youth summer basketball camps.
