Women's Soccer Beat on The Road, Aceves '10 Makes Ten Saves in Loss



Whittier College lost 2-0 on the road to California Lutheran University in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on October 14.  The Poets are now 0-12 overall and 0-9 in the SCIAC and the Regals improved their record to 6-9 overall and 5-4 in conference play. 

Lowhren Aceves '10 made ten saves in goal for the Poets.  The Cal Lutheran offense peppered her with 25 shots and took seven corner kicks.  Annette Medrano '07 took five of the Poets' eight shots as she tried to jump start the offense.  Cal Lutheran scored a goal in each half, netting their first in the 43rd minute and the second in the 54th minute.
