Women's Soccer Beat at Redlands, Poets Take on Chapman Oct. 23

Lowhren Aceves '10 made nine saves in goal, but Whittier College lost 8-0 to the University of Redlands in a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match-up on October 21.  The Poets (0-14, 0-11 SCIAC) were out shot 28-4, and Redlands (10-3-1, 9-0-1 SCIAC) held a 8-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Redlands started the scoring in the 11th minute and added a second in the 27th minute for a 2-0 lead.  The Bulldogs then scored four goals in the final fifteen minutes of the first half to go up 6-0 at the break.

The second half brought a similar fate for the Poets, as Redlands added another goal in the 60th minute.  Their final goal came in the 84th minute to give the Bulldogs an 8-0 victory.
