Monica Gerardo previews 2012 women’s soccer season
WHITTIER, Calif. - Whittier College head women's soccer coach Monica Gerardo previewed the upcoming 2012 soccer season this morning and are expecting big things from a young but experienced squad.
Second year head coach Gerardo sat down with the Sports Information Department and discussed what lies ahead for the Poet women's soccer program and their quest for the school's second SCIAC Championship.
They welcome in a strong recruiting class with a lot of talent that will add depth to an already young starting lineup.
The Purple & Gold open up their season with back to back home contests on September 1st and 2nd against Marian University (Wisc.) and Pacific University (Ore.) with both games slated to begin at 10:00am.
