Women’s Soccer earns USCA Team Academic Award

2016-17 Team Academic Awards

WHITTIER, Calif. – The Whittier College Women's Soccer team was selected for the 2016-17 United Soccer Coaches Association (USCA) Team Academic Award announced Thursday.

A total of 824 collegiate teams (286 men, 538 women) earned the Team Academic Award, including 195 schools that had both their men's and women's programs among the recipients. Teams earned the honor by achieving a 3.0 GPA.

Chapman (3.06), CMS (3.45) and Redlands (3.11) secured team academic honors on the men's side, while Cal Lutheran (3.34), Chapman (3.36), CMS (3.60), Pomona-Pitzer (3.56), Redlands (3.51) and Whittier (3.39) were named team academic recipients on the women's side.
