Women’s Track & Field grabs USTFCCCA All-Academic recognition
NEW ORLEANS - The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced this week the women's 2012 Division III All-Academic Track & Field Teams and Whittier was one of 137 institutions who earned this distinction as a result of a cumulative team GPA of 3.10 or better.
Wartburg College was named the Scholar Team of the Year for both Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field in Div. III by being the highest placing teams with at least a 3.10-cumulative GPA at the most recent NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships.
Whittier was also one of five Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Teams to make this list. The others included the California Institute of Technology, Cal Lutheran, Claremont-M-S, and Pomona-Pitzer.
