Volleyball Sweeps La Sierra, Poets Dominate in Third Win

Whittier College held a 41-18 advantage in kills as they beat La Sierra University in straight games (30-13, 30-18, 30-21) in a non-conference road game on October 7.  The Poets are now 3-11 overall while La Sierra falls to 4-9.

Danell Booher '09 had a season-high 20 digs and tied a season-high with eight kills for the Poets.  She also had two service aces.  Bibi Gonzales '08 also set a season-high with 16 kills to pace the Poet offense.  She had three service aces.  Megan Wingo '08 finished with a season-high nine kills.  Jennifer Salas '10 and Jessica Schlegel '08 had 17 and 10 digs, respectively.  Christa Rainville '08 handed out 32 assists to go with six digs.
