Volleyball Swept by Chapman

Whittier College Volleyball played its second match of the 2008 season when they traveled to Southern California rival Chapman University on September 10.  Keisha O'Brien '10 finished with a match-high 16 kills, but the Poets were swept 25-16, 25-17, 25-19 for their second loss of the season.

Melissa Johnson '10 finished with six kills for the Poets and Natalia Barajas '10 finished with five.  Barajas also pitched in with a team-high 14 digs.  Jennifer Salas '10 had 13 digs.  Sara Araiza '12 finished with a match-high 22 assists and helped out the defense with nine digs.

The Poets travel to Colorado College for a two-day tournament on September 12 and 13.  The play the first of four matches on Friday at 2:00pm.
