The Whittier College volleyball team jumped out in front 2-1 against the Sagehens of Pomona-Pitzer Tuesday evening but saw the Sagehens rally back to win in a decisive fifth game winning the final four points to steal away the key SCIAC matchup.

The Whittier College volleyball team wrapped up Day 2 of the Whitman Invitational with one of the most memorable victories in Whittier College volleyball history earning a 33-31 victory in the fourth game to clinch the four set victory over Luther College.

Pomona-Pitzer this morning announced their All-Tournament team from the Pacific Coast Classic and Senior Alyssa Sialaris was the lone Poet to make the team after helping the Purple & Gold finish the tournament 2-2.

Volleyball wraps up Day 2 of Pacific Coast Classic; Move to 2-2
The Whittier College volleyball team wrapped up Day 2 of the Pacific Coast Classic getting swept by No. 14 Colorado College 26-24, 27-25, 25-19 but bounced back to sweep Alverno College 25-15, 25-11, 25-14.

Whittier splits on day one of Pacific Coast Classic
Whittier College bounced back from being a set down in their first match against North Central (Ill.) but was unable to hold on as they dropped the next two falling 15-25, 25-22, 23-25, 20-25 in their season opener. In the second match WC dominated Colby Sawyer, winning 25-17, 25-17, 25-15.
