Whittier Coaching Accomplishments
2012
Wrapped up their 2012 season with a 14-20 record
finishing 2-9 in SCIAC play and 6th in the SCIAC rankings.
Saw senior Katrina Thoreson earn 2nd Team All-SCIAC honors and
break the all time career record in scoring at Whittier College
totaling 249. Achieved big wins over George Washington,
Chapman University, Cal State San Bernardino, La Verne, and
Vanguard and saw a sudden death overtime loss occur to No. 1
Pomona-Pitzer late in the season. Finished the year ranked
No. 6 in the CWPA polls.
2011
Guided the Poets to wins over Cal Lutheran, Chapman
University and La Verne and saw the purple and gold climb to No. 5
in the CWPA poll. Xenia Castillo, Mattie Winkler, and Katrina
Thoreson were also named All-Americans by the Association of
Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC).
2010
Led a Poets squad to a 14-18 overall record and saw Xenia
Castillo make 2nd Team All-SCIAC, while Katrina Thoreson
and Anahisa Aguirre were tagged as Honorable Mention. Arianna
Weisenburger, Xenia Castillo, Samantha McCord, and Sarah Peel were
also named as Academic All-Americans by the ACWPC.
2009
He guided the Poets to a sixth place finish in the
Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with an
overall record of 9-18.
2008
In just his first season he coached Xenia Castillo to the
single season WC record for drawn ejections as she earned
second-team all-conference honors. He also saw Katrina Thoreson
selected as an honorable mention selection.
Other College Coaching Accomplishments
2008-Present
In addition to his duties as the head coach of the
women's water polo team he also serves as the head coach for the
men's and women's swimming and men's water polo teams.
2004-06
Began coaching at the college ranks as an assistant at
Occidental for both the men's and women's water polo programs. In
two seasons with the Tigers Pudwill helped Occidental reach some of
its highest rankings in the Division III polls. In 2006 the women's
team reached a No. 2 ranking and finished the year as National
Runner-Ups.

2006
Head boy’s water polo coach at Fountain Valley High
School in Fountain Valley, Calif.
2001-03
Selected as head coach at the National Zone Championships
for Zone 4 in Texas where he ran both the Youth and Cadet
programs.
2001
Co-founded the Dirty Bay Water Polo Club, the first
year-round age group water polo program in Texas. In two years the
club grew from a roster of 20 to 100.
2000
Assistant coach for the boys and girls water polo and
swimming teams at Ross S. Sterling High School in Baytown,
Texas.
Helped over 50 student-athletes develop the skills necessary to compete in NCAA programs such as the University of California Los Angeles, the University of Southern California and the United States Naval Academy, among other places.
Other Accomplishments
Studied Sports Management at Salem International University in Salem, W.V.
Competed at the Division II level in baseball, swimming and water polo.
Played internationally for the Ontario Water Polo Club in Ontario, Canada.
