Chaz Smith is in his first season as a member of the Poets cross country team. He was born in Mesa, CA. He started running when he was fourteen because he liked running and his friends and family encouraged him to try it. He went on to run for Mountain View High School. He is planning on majoring in Pre-Med and hopes to some day work as a Physical Therapist. He credits his success to his parents, coaches, and extended family.
