Sara Gomez is in her first season as a member of the Poets cross country team. She was born in Bell Gardens, CA. She started running when she was fourteen because she ran to get in shape for softball and to lose weight. She went on to run for Norte Vista High School. She is planning on majoring in Engineering and hopes to some day work as a mechanical engineer. She credits her success to her mom, dad and coach Andrade.
