XC: Callaway at the NCAA Championships
Michele Callaway '12 completed a stellar freshman campaign for
Poets Women's Cross Country with a 96th place finish at
the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships in Hanover, Ind.,
on November 22.
On a cold day at Hanover College, Callaway finished the 6,000-meter
course in 22:28.23. There were 279 runners in the event with
the winner coming from Bethel College (Minn.) with a time of
20:43.91. Middlebury College won the team title with 179 team
points.
Callaway was the lone runner for the Poets. She finishes the season with All-SCIAC and All-West Region honors and an appearance in the NCAA Championships.
