NORTH PRESCOTT, AZ – The Whittier College Men's Golf team wrapped up their fall season earlier this week as they finished 7th at the ERAU Co-ED Invitational in North Prescott, AZ.
The Purple & Gold shot a 930 (308-310-312), which included playing 36 in one day at Antelope Hills Golf Club. Whittier sat in 6th place after Day 1 but dropped a spot into 7th edging out Park University – Gilbert (8th – 959) and Hope International (9th – 994).
Sophomore Justin McGrath (Cardiff by the Sea, Calif.) led the Poets over the two days posting a 216. He finished in a tie for 5th after shooting a 72-73-71. Sophomore Roman Aragon (La Palma, Calif.) wasn't far behind at a 226 (78-73-75), which placed him in a tie for 17th. Senior Vincent Brunet (Ottawa, Canada) took 39th after totaling a 245, which included scores of 76-81-88.
Claremont-M-S won the team title with an 856 (284-284-288). Harry Brenner from CMS also took home the individual title with a 209 shooting scores of 71-68-70.
Whittier has wrapped up their fall season and now sets their sights on the spring beginning in February.
