2018 Men's Water Polo Schedule

WHITTIER, Calif. – First year Head Coach and Director of Aquatics David Kasa released his 2018 Men's Water Polo Schedule Thursday.

This seasons schedule once again boasts one of the toughest in Division III and within the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC).  The Purple & Gold start things off with back-to-back-to-back invites (UCLA Invite, Inland Empire Classic, and AGGIE Round-Up) in the month of September taking on seven Division I powerhouses (USC, UCLA, Long Beach State, UC Santa Barbara and Harvard) and two Division II opponents (Fresno Pacific & Cal Baptist).

This makes for a tough stretch on the road before opening up SCIAC play on September 22 at home against Caltech.  This is the lone home contest in September as they continue with SCIAC competition against La Verne and Claremont-M-S on September 26 & 29 away.

They return home to the Lillian Slade Aquatic Center on October 3 to host Pomona-Pitzer in a rematch of the 2017 SCIAC Championship finale.  After that they then travel to Claremont, Calif. to take part in the Gary Troyer Tournament on October 5-6.

The final eight games in October include seven coming against SCIAC opponents and another against Division I Princeton.

The last three regular season games will occur in November against Pomona-Pitzer (Nov. 3), Occidental (Nov. 7), and Redlands (Nov. 10).  The SCIAC Post Season Tournament is set for November 16 and 18.

The Poets in 2017 finished 17-12, 12-2 SCIAC, while grabbing 2nd Place accolades in the final SCIAC Standings.
