Six Poets named ACWPC All-Academic

ACWPC All-Academic Team Release

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – A total of eighty Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) men's water polo student-athletes were named to the 2018 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-Academic Team as recently announced by the organization.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete's head coach must be a member of the ACWPC, while the athlete must attain a grade point average in excess of 3.20. Divided into three teams based on cumulative GPA, 17 SCIAC student-athletes garnered Outstanding (4.00-3.71), 40 earned Superior (3.70-3.41) and 23 SCIAC student-athletes secure Excellent (3.40-3.20).

Six SCIAC teams were also recognized for All-Academic Achievement of having a 3.0 or higher.  These teams included Caltech (3.55), Chapman (3.28), Pomona-Pitzer (3.25), Cal Lutheran (3.10), Redlands (3.09) and Occidental (3.03).
