WHITTIER, Calif. – After a tough loss to No. 24 Claremont-M-S, the Whittier College Women's Basketball team looks to use it to get back into the win column Saturday, January 19 as they travel to take on Cal Lutheran University.  Tip-off set for 2:00pm.

WC Coming into the Game

Whittier is 7-8, 4-4 SCIAC and currently sit in a tie for 4th in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Standings.  They are coming off a tough loss to No. 24 Claremont-M-S (75-55) but won the previous two contests on buzzer-beaters against Caltech (58-57) and Occidental (74-72).    

CLU Coming into the Game

Cal Lutheran started the season off hot putting together a run of four straight, which included a win over Whittier, which came on a three-pointer at the end of regulation.  They are 7-10, 4-4 SCIAC and currently ride a two game losing streak against Pomona-Pitzer (72-60) and La Verne (87-77).  They have also dropped five of their last six.

Over the past five years Whittier has pulled off one victory over the Regals.  They are 1-10 against CLU, which includes their earlier loss this season.
